Meet Barry
Barry is not simply a mascot.

He is a carefully considered part of how children are supported within Little Bosses Academy, providing a consistent, relatable presence that helps children feel safe, understood, and ready to engage.
Why Barry Exists
Children do not learn in isolation.
They learn through connection.
Barry was introduced to create a bridge between the child and their environment, a familiar and approachable presence that encourages participation, supports emotional expression, and helps children navigate new experiences with greater confidence.

For many children, especially in new or challenging situations, having something or someone to relate to makes engagement easier.

Barry provides that starting point.
Why Barry Exists
At Little Bosses Academy, social and emotional learning sits at the centre of how children develop.

Barry supports this by helping children to:
-
recognise and express their emotions
-
build confidence in unfamiliar situations
-
engage more freely in group environments
-
develop a sense of responsibility and belonging
-

Through Barry, children are able to project, reflect, and process their experiences in ways that feel natural and accessible.

Kate is as busy as popcorn popping in a pan, always on the hunt to figure out how things work.

She doesn’t just settle for the easy stuff—
she’s excited to tackle even the
toughest problems!

Chrissy is bursting with bright ideas!
Her creative flair always adds excitement, whether she's working on art, whipping up something in the kitchen, or even getting active during exercise.

Callum doesn’t need any sweet talk to get excited about learning.
He’s a real smart cookie, always thrilled to dish out what he’s learned. As the top banana in his class, he enjoys being the one everyone looks up to!

Kobe definitely has butterfingers, so you might hear a lot of bangs, pops, and splashes when he’s around!
But don’t worry—he’s still excited and enthusiastic about cooking!
